Introduction to the Tapes Archive podcast
About five years ago, my friend Alan Berry called me with an idea: We should turn the celebrity interviews I did in the 1980s and 1990s into a podcast.
Alan thought there would be a lot of interest in hearing these conversations, which I had conducted as part of my job covering music, comedy and television for various publications.
We batted around the idea for a while, and ultimately I did what I usually do: nothing.
But Alan is persistent, and when he asked again this year, I agreed that the time was right–especially since he was willing to do almost all the work.
Alan digitized the tapes, created the website, took care of all the business end, connected us with the Osiris network, and put together the podcast you’re about to hear.
Please follow and like us if you want to hear a new tape every week.
Thanks, Marc Allan
